Building a business
CommentI've never been into marketing or business but I have always loved jewelry. I love shopping for it and looking for beautiful stones. In high school, I worked at a jewelry kiosk in the mall, mostly for the employee discount. Every time I go on a trip, I try to find a unique piece of jewelry to bring home with me. When I met my friend Heather, she was already making stunning pieces of jewelry and had started her own business. She was gracious enough to let me play around with her supplies to make my own creations. I started going to craft shows with her and even sold some of my own items at her shows. It was fun to have a partner to create with. She moved away and I miss her, but I continued making jewelry and looking for craft fairs to display my creations. I have also collaborated with a gem shop and an art gallery to display items that fit with their artistic motif. Mostly, I enjoy meeting my customers and talking to them about gems and jewelry so I have decided to expand and share my designs with a larger audience. I'm working on making a cohesive brand and talking pictures for the website. Please bear with me as I get this new venture off the ground.
